Putting deposit down on Venue!!!!!!

I am getting married August 2014 and I booked (deposit down) on the recpetion venue and church Jan/Feb 2013. The lady I spoke to wasn't even shocked!!!

A venue so good they named it twice? ?

The date 27th June 2015.

I need to get the money up together is the main reason its so far away or i would marry him right now. Plus i want everything sorted before the big day so i dont have to stress, as stressing then means a massive coldsore!! and we cant be having that at my wedding.

Im going again this weekend to put the deposit down so my date is saved, but when i said its like two years she said....."that's fine" wasnt shocked or anything. Plus i need to figure out a colour scheme, i keep changing my mind.

Im a fussy one Im yet to turn green and stomp my way around but i can feel the bridezilla coming out! haha

Aslong as your sure of your date I dont see a problem booking this far in advance gives you more time plan all the fun things!..

Also, I used to work in a hotel and we got bookings 2/3 years in advance all the time. I remember at the end of 2010 somebody booking a wedding for 2013 and thinking its never going to come, it will nearly be upon them now!
