Quality Photo Prints

meandmrjones2014, 29 May, 2014 at 10:02 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi everyone!

Just got our disk of wedding pics back from photographer and want to get them all printed around 7x5/10x8 size.

Can anyone recommend a site that prints really good quality prints - have around 70 to print for an album....

ASDA have an online & in store service that is pretty good. I had to get some samples done in 24 hours for a dance school and so instead of using my pro lab I took them to ASDA. The staff told me there are quite a few local photographers who use them! The samples I had done (about 20 images in various sizes) we fine.

I think I got samples of 6 x 4, 5 x 7, 6 x 9, 12 x 10 and 12 x 8! It was a bit of a nightmare having to turn around sample boards straight away. I also had some of the same prints in the same sizes done by Photobox for another board of samples. Photobox are a well known consumer lab. The ASDA ones were better than Photobox in every case. They were sharper and had better skin tones.

Unless someone gave you a photo album for a present, which you want to fill as it's thoughful / pretty etc, you might want to consider getting a photo-book printed instead. It's a little more modern than loose photos being mounted individually in an album, and should last longer and in better nick. Plus, easy to get a second made for the parents for Christmas ?
