Questions to ask reception

I was just wondering if anyone had a list of questions to ask a reception when you go visit them as i'm starting to go around and view them now. What kind of things do i need to know? i dont even know where to start lol. any help would be greatly appriciated

Mmm...lets think, what sort of things did I ask...

Whether they allow confetti

If they have there own centrepeices

Are the tables rounds, and how many does each table seat

What time does there music licence go on to

Could we have music outside...i.e harpist

Were fireworks or chinese lanterns allowed (it was a no to fireworks due to nearby farms and we decided against chinese lanterns in the end!)

Could I stay there the night before, our venue is a private manor house and it has 20 rooms, but not open to general public, so we can stay there the night before so long as there is no function on and we have at least 10 rooms as that will make it worth them bringing in the staff needed for the night, which is fair enough.

How much is there wine/Could we bring our own (we are thinking booze cruise to france) and if we did how much is corkage?

Thats all I can think of now, HTH!!
