Quick question re. togs

MrsCase2013, 18 December, 2011 at 13:55 Posted on Planning 0 9

Hi all,

I have found a local tog who I like the look of, but he seems a bit pricey... BUT it might be perfectly reasonable - hence why I'm asking! He charges £945.00 for 9 hours, and that includes a DVD of pics. His website is https://freerimages.co.uk/index.php/lake-district-wedding-photography-cumbria/lake-district-cumbria-wedding-photography-prices and he seems to have worked at a lot of the higher end venues in my area.

Can anyone help me out please? Photography is one thing I haven't got a clue about tbh Smiley atonished

That doesn't sound outrageous to me. photography is expensive - an awful lot of work goes into the editing etc. you probably could get cheaper but that usually means sacrificing a bit of quality. guess it depends how important photos are to you.

We got a deal with friends of friends of £700 for 8 hours plus disk. but usually they would charge £900 (in Northern Ireland).

I wouldn't say that was expensive. We're paying £1200 for a similar package in Lincolnshire.

I'm sure some togs will be along to give some specific advice, but I made sure I saw as many examples of work as I could and also met my tog before I booked. It was really important to me that I got on well with them.

Looks about right and reasonable to me. We are paying £850 for all day package disc only (supposed to be £950 but got deal). Don't let price be the only deciding factor in your decision though, be clear on their style of photography, making sure they will capture your day in the way you want it captured and that you can get along with them as a person and won't feel they are being intrusive on your big day.

    Hi

Definitely worth meeting up with Chris at Freer Images for a chat about your big day - I'd recommend him highly, he was our wedding photographer when we got married! ?

Whilst it is defintely expensive in relative terms I'd say that was probably about average.
