Quick weight loss - should I be concerned?

Quincy, 22 April, 2009 at 09:36 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0

Now this is a post I never thought I write!

I have been weighing myself daily, and have now lost 6lb in a week. I should be elated, but it's concerning me a little. I think.

I normally lose 1-2lb per week. The most I have lost in a week is 3lb, and that was right at the beginning, and when I started exercising. I have been lazy on exercise in the last couple of weeks, and have troughed a bit too.

Should I be concerned? I'm seeing my GP on Monday anyway - do I mention it to him, or will he think I'm daft, and should just be pleased with the weight loss? The only other symptom I have is dizziness when I stand up, so think I might have a slightly low blood pressure, which isn't that unusual for me.

Is it 'normal' to have a mammoth weight loss out of the blue?
