quotes confusion - what would you do?

polarbex, 10 November, 2012 at 16:55 Posted on Planning 0

After your opinions please...

I had a long converstion with our potential band last week on the phone and she quoted me £800. Then she said "but I guess we could do £750". I said we wanted to see them one more time with the man before we confirmed. Anyway, we saw them at the pub and said yes. Before paying the deposit I wanted to get it all in writing so emailed saying that I wanted to confirm the price of £750. She has emailed me back saying no, we confirmed £800 at the pub. Now, I know we didn't talk prices at the pub as I was annoyed with myself for not discussing price there. What do I say? Should I push for the cheaper price - after all why mention it. Who is going to pay the higher price when a lower has been quoted?! Or should I accept that I made a mistake about not sealing £750 on the phone.

Oh I am so fed up of talking money!!!

Thanks!
