Me neither ID! Think you'd just have to ask about me generally, and that's a bit dull

I reckon we probably all think of ourselves as a bit dull, but i know there are heaps of things where I've seen a comments from Otters over the months and though oooh, I'd like to know more. Would it be totally wrong and insensitive to nominate certain otters to have an AMA? Probably. Not seen any of them in my time here, but they look great. Would be ace to see them resurrected. But massively brave to open yourself up so much, especially as this Otter has done.

I'm off to search for some more now.

I suspect there are many things we'd like to know about each other and that we're all far less boring than we think we are!! How deep would you all be willing to go though? Sometimes it's ok to mention things in our lives and not so easy to discuss them openly ?

I think I'm pretty much an open book on t'Internet. I find it easier to talk about things online than in real life!

Exactly, this is why it's probably not fair game just to nominate others. However, having looked at some of tnhe old threads they aren't all as personal as this one. Some are about professions, eg I am a vet/cabin crew/a train conduncter AMA, some are deeply personal ,like the domestic volence survivor or recovered anorexic. I thought they were very brave topics. But whether out of the ordinary or seemingly mundane i found them all interesting.

I'm always happy to talk about stuff that's happened in my life. I don't have an interesting job, I'm just a mum at home all day with the ironing and the housework, but I've been through some stuff in the past that I would answer questions about to anyone who asked.

I suppose you could nominate someone and suggest they decide their own topic? That way, they could go for the difficult one or the easy one and it would be up to them ?

It does sound an interesting thing to do! Nominating would ok, can always say no! Out of interest too will the person who originally wrote this thread get an email notification? If so I wonder what she thinks of it being resurrected! was wondering that the other day with the mass dress flesh cus I think that started in 2012...

It amazes me when people drag up these old threads and replies like they've just been posted. Not really sure how that'd happen.

Ah, but without being an awful chauvanist i often wonder what stay at home mums do when the kids are at school. No judgement, just curiosity. Are you a total homemaker (my best friend is and she is in her element, cleaning cooking baking, dreaming up new games for the kids and generally just making sure everything is perfect for her family when they get home) or are you like i would be and indulge in all your little treats and guilty pleasures while there's noone around to see?

I guess what's boring and every day to one person is an unknown world to another......

Go on then Bekkijane, since you volunteered, pick a topic!

Oh I like the sound of an ask me anything thread. Becki Jane's idea of letting the nominated person pick there own topic.

They've probably opted out of the emails by now.

I'm happy to be open, I try not to slag off work (although I can't imagine they'd see it) but anything else is pretty fair game for me. Maybe we should have a thread that says who we are, what we do etc, and a fun or interesting fact. Or maybe that's cringey

How about somebody asks a random question

"What's the worst outfit you've ever worn" for example then a random next person has to answer the question and ask the random next poster a question

Mini, I hope you don't mind but your post made me so sad that I looked up your thread. Surprised its not a lot longer tbh, and I could have written it myself. Hugs to you that you're not feeling strong at the moment x
