Rachel Simpson Shoes

Stephisaur, 23 February, 2016 at 19:55 Posted on Planning 0 17

Hi lovelies

I have an appointment to go to the Rachel Simpson boutique on Saturday and I am stupid excited!

Just wondering whether any of you lovely ladies had tried on her shoes or worn them for your Weddings?

    Hiya,

I went to the boutique a few weeks ago and fell in love with these

    https://rachelsimpsonshoes.co.uk/shop/charlotte-ivory-lace-leather-wedding-shoes.html

Had a proper 'bridal moment' when I put them on, it was like finding my wedding dress all over again! Wasn't expecting that but I do love shoes! Can't wait to wear them on the day.

hope you have a lovely time Smiley smile

Oh my goodness, those ones are stunning!

I'm looking at ones with a lower heel so that I can walk over the gravel path to the ceremony but if I wasn't I would seriously want those! Smiley laugh

    I'm so excited Smiley laugh

Me! I got married in the ivory Lulu shoes. They were low heel with a peep toe. They were so soft and comfy. When I started looking, I was adamant that I wasn't spending a fortune on shoes but I caved in when I saw them! I also love their sister range, Agnes & Norman. I also bought a very similar style shoe from them that were glittery and I was intended to wear them in the evening but I just switched to flats. Their shoes are a very generous fit, I needed a size 3 and I'm usually a 4.

Very jealous you're going to the boutique, please report back and let us know how it was!

I have my heart set on a pair of these, but I'll have to see what budget allows nearer the time!

We're getting married in a registry office & I am leaning towards a shorter dress at the moment, so the shoes need to be particularly fabulous! But the reception is at a country house with lots of grass & gravel to traverse to get to the marquee, so may not be a particularly sensible option! I think shoes are one of those things in life that aren't meant to be sensible or practical though.

Shoes definitely aren't made to be practical Smiley winking I'm getting married outside and have to walk down a gravel path to get to the lakehouse so heels are a ridiculous idea haha however, I would rather buy a pair of heels than have my dress altered 3 inches! Smiley smile

Oh my goodness I'm in love!!

Firstly, when we arrived we were asked if we'd like a drink. I said tea would be lovely and so one of the girls went off to make it. She brought in a tea pot, tea cup, sugar cubes and milk jug along with a fondant fancy! Very luxurious!!

The other girl in the shop showed me the shoes while we waited for the tea and remembered that I had asked for low heels when I booked the appointment so she showed me those first.

They went and got me any pair of shoes I wanted to try on and nothing felt like too much trouble. They were so lovely and I had a lovely time!

I actually ended up loving two pairs of shoes and completely couldn't choose! However, as they were in the sale, I didn't feel too badly about buying both Smiley winking

My phone isn't letting me upload a pic at the moment but I will put one up soon Smiley smile

They're beautiful shoes!! What size is the heel? I'm also on the lookout for low shoes... I'm 5ft 11 and h2b is a smidgen shorter than me already so don't want to be towering over him!!!

Hehe I know the pain! I'm 5'10" but thankfully h2b is just over 6'. The heel is 6cm on one pair and 6.5cm on the other. They do gorgeous flats too! There's a new collection out in April - the one at the moment has quite high heels so might be worth looking then if you can

It was! The ribbon ones are my faves, but h2b and mum both like the lace ones best!

They are both gorgeous! I had my heart set on Catherine in blue, but then I accidentally bought Audrey in navy blue whilst 'keeping an eye on the ebay shop'. I wore them whilst trying on my wedding dress and now don't know if I need to buy the others! Links for the ebay shops btw:

The eBay shop is dangerous! Haha

I LOVE the Audrey - they're almost identical to the Honeysuckle so I imagine they're super comfortable!

Depends how tall you want to be on the day I suppose! You could always save and buy the Catherine's just for you Smiley winking

Good thought Steph . . . . .The Audrey is incredibly comfortable and I'm not that awesome with heels. I really want to go to the shop, but i suspect if I do I will come away with not only Catherine, but her friends Jasmine, Gardenia, Ginger and Mimosa so that she wouldn't be lonely. I'm definitely not doing anything till I get my fabric swatches at any rate!!!!!

I was certain that I'd be coming home with Gardenia, Jasmine or Matilda but I have to say, they weren't as comfy as Honeysuckle! Maybe that's just me though - everyone's feet are different Smiley smile I'm not a huge heel wearer so I opted for low and comfy!

There's a new collection out in April anyway... might as well wait Smiley winking

    xx
