No, not Vernon Kay ? I really, really detest those 4 little notes they stick onto every song in the morning. Who do I complain to? ?

I went out with HeidiHole on Saturday, and it was really embarrassing. She didn;t want to go in any pubs, just hang around on street corners listening to music on her mobile 'phone and saying stuff like innit. I wish she'd act her age. *sigh*

I haaaate Radio 1, whenever I happen to listen to it it seems to be 70% competitions and phone-ins, 20% waffle and 10% music I've never heard of.

However I listen to Kiss so am in no position to comment on people trying to recapture their lost youth. ?

Now, see, I like the waffle on Radio 1. I listen to Moyles and Mills - I really like Sara Cox but can't stand Wiley. The only bit on Edith Bowman's show I can listen to is James King's movie reviews.

As for Radio 2, I isten to Wossy on a Saturday morning (that'll be more waffle then) and Radcliffe & Maconie if I happen to be in the car at that time of night. Jeremy Vine's show is like the aural equivalent of the Daiy Mail and Steve Wright is painful listen to. Ditto Chris Evans these days.

Other than that it tends to be Radio 4. I'm 28 and can't figure out if all this means that I'm trying to recapture my youth or if I'm a bit of an old fogey! ?

Im nearly a sad 30 something (am only 29) but I love most of radio 1 and I certainly dont want to be 18 again (shudder)

I dont like Nihal but dont mind the others, I love Chris Moyles.. Unfortunately I dont get to listen to a lot at the moment as my journey to work takes 8 minutes but roll on May when I will get to listen for up to a hour... woooo

I listen to Radio 1, I quite like Moyles and Mills. I am 33 but clearly think I'm 18.

Iris, also trying to recapture my lost youth. Bottle of Thunderbird anyone?

I love threads like this. They bring people together.

The R1 breakfast show makes me laugh. I like to laugh in the morning. I've got the rest of the day to be grumpy then.

I've got some Charlie if anyone fancies a sniff. I do, of course, mean the perfume. ?

I went of Radio One when Mark and Lard left. It was the highlight of my day, we used to all sit down at work and listen to the whole show. We bought a DAB soon afterwards and tuned into 6 Music, which I loved. The thing I disliked about Radio One so much was the amount of OLD music they used to play, not classics but rubbish tat like "Butterflies" and "Blurry". I bet they still play them now!

P!nk isnt exactly new in my book, and she is the only artist I like that is current. Dont mind Lily or Katy Perry saying that.

Its the bands like Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, I dont even know any others but they all sound the same and look the same to me. I had no idea who any of them were at the Brits. I only watched it cos P!nk was nominated.

Seeing we're all giving our honest opinions - I think Pink is SH1T. She pretty much sums up everything that is wrong with commercial radio and the negative stuff about Radio One.

How to win friends and influence people ?

Besides, I wouldn't imply that from something as trivial as someone's choice of radio station. Can't say that for you of course ?

Anyway, I've got bad news for all of you - I was in a good mood with my Year 8 (second year seniors) and put the radio on for them one lesson. I chose Radio 1 because I hate local commercial radio and they complained mightily. Turns out NONE of them listen to Radio 1 because it is "an old person's station" and they much prefer Viking FM (godawful local radio) or, even worse, Galaxy. Radio 1 = Old person's radio, as per 13-year-olds.

I havent listened to radio one since mark and lard were on the breakfast show-I can`t abide it, especially that fat *** moyles, I absolutely despise him. It`s 6 music all the way for me (with 5 live on the way to work as i can`t stand all those false cheery DJs on breakfast shows. why are all music radio breakfast show DJs so `whacky`??grrrr)
