RAIN,RAIN, AND MORE RAIN

mam of the bride, 22 May, 2013 at 17:14 Posted on Planning 0 17

Just a quick post to say my lovely daughter got married on Saturday. It was torrential rain most of the day, and it didn't spoil anything. We got lovely photos in church and her husband carrying her over the puddles. So please don't let the weather spoil your day, enjoy every minute. Don't even think about the weather. xx

Awww - that is such a lovely post Smiley smile only a month to go and just as long as it doesn't tip it down during our outdoor ceremony it will be okay - and if it does that's what umbrellas are for right?! x

I'm so pleased your daughter had a lovely day! Big congratulations all round!

It is true though, you can have the most amazing day no matter what the weather- which I sometimes feel is too easy to say as a supplier as it's not our day, so it's nice to hear it from the other side. It very rarely matters a jot though and couples have a fantastic day come rain or shine.

Not that it stops me contemplating what on earth we'll do if it rains on our big day as everything is planned for outside ?

I'll worry about that nearer the time though!

Aw how lush, I totally agree! My best friend got married last month and it was torrential all day, although there was 30 mins or so where they managed to get pics outside of just the two of them. And it didn't matter one bit! It made the venue lovely and cosy. You mustn't rely on the weather in the Uk!

If you click on the icon that looks like film strip then choose the file you want to upload, click insert and that's it. You can move the cursor to put photos next to eachother or in a list format. Happy uploading! :0)

Aw that's good to hear! It rained badly on my Brother's wedding day but it was the high winds that were the issue more than anything! As a guest I hated having my hair literally whipped up in the air the second I got out of the car! My Brother's wife wasn't fazed though.

I am looking forward to having lots of pics outside as my venue is set in acres of fields & woodland. It even has a man made beach around a lake! If the weather is really bad it will make it difficult so can't deny I'm praying for no rain or wind! After reading this I will try not to worry as much though Smiley smile

I love the picture of your daughter being carried!

We got married 2 weeks ago and it rained pretty much all day, but I barely even noticed. We found gaps in the rain to get a few photos outside and we ended up getting some cool photos with my H holding my dress and an umbrella! I love this one that MIL took, with our TOG holding the umbrella over me, it's a photo of a photo so not amazing quality:

You look lovely, and smiling through the rain. My daughter said the rain wasn't going spoil her day, and it didn't. Hope to see more photos soon x
