Raised bed gardeners (link-a-bord etc) - how's it going? (Zoay)

We're up to day 11 and I'm amazed at how fast everything is growing. if it weren't for the sodding cats (and snails, who have eaten through 95% of my tray of celery - damn) we'd be doing really well!

Can I see your pics?

    Hi

I have 2 raised beds and since we have had the warmer weather everything is growing well. I have 9 potato plants, Little Gem lettuces, mixed salad leaves, coriander and onions. My carrot seeds are yet to germinate.

Looks fab Zoay. So tempted. (I know I'm massively late but could still get some salad leaves in, and prepare things for the winter root veg). Is that a 1x3m bed? Did you get them from Harrod Horticultural?

We got it direct from link-a-bord and it's the 50cm wide struts plus roughly 4.5 metres of length (it all got very confusing and we tried a million permutations..)

I think you still have lots of time, Rache - go for it!

I've got 3 raised beds with all kinds of stuff in - onions (red and white), spring onions, carrots, beetroot, peas, loads of salad leaves of various types. Have sweetcorn about to go in when I get 2 minutes!

Mine are built of rough-ish timber though, and about 18in high and with an edging at the top, then the soil reaches up to about 3 or 4 in from the top. It actually seems to be completely keeping out the slugs and snails (fingers crossed, touch wood etc) so far - not a thing has been nibbled and I would have thought the salad leaves would be first to go!
