Re: Busy 3 weeks/London tips please

Hi

I'm getting married in a London reg office and just having a few of us to a pub for drinks / lunch then (after a hitcher advice) I've hired an open top London red bus for us all to tour round London sites on (while drinking champagne) then back to hotels to freshen up then out for a meal. In the last 3 weeks I've been pleased with what i've done (dress, shoes, underear, clutch bag, bridesmaids dresses, hair and makeup, hotel, vintage routemaster all picked and paid for!) .

I really was hopeing I could get some advice from here - does anyone know anywhere in Central London that I should go on the bus to stop for scenic pics? Also, any other bright ideas for making the day special - I had to tell everyone about the bus due to logistics so a suprise for the guests would be nice (i'm making gift bags for the kids that are coming and trying to get London red bus toy car that I can put each of the kids names on).

Any help really appreciated. xx

The places pop to mind for places for pictures - around Waterloo (for the eye and the river), could also then go past Westminster, if your further north I love Kensington palace gardens. If we did this boy would wan't pictures outside Harrods (might be hard to stop the bus). Trafalgar square would be good or Covent Garden. Smiley smile

If the weather is nice you should definitely go to Primrose Hill, it'll be a little walk from the road but you can see the whole London skyline from there which will make a great backdrop to your photos.

If possible get the bus to stop at St James' and jump out and have your photo taken with the guard person that stands there in the tall black furry hat. I'm so sorry that's an awful explanation but hopefully you know what I mean. A bride and groom shot with him looking all serious would be hilarious!

I also love the Smithfields/Farringdon area. A bit industrial but with some lovely old buildings as well.

It's my favourite part of London (other than Shepherd's Bush)
