Readings

Soon to be Mrs W, 29 July, 2010 at 19:57 Posted on Planning 0 2

Just a quick question. We are having a civil ceremony and need to decide on readings. Do we need to ask people to do a reading or will the registrar read them for us? Also, can we do readings as the bride and groom?

    Hi,

Im not doing a reading at ours but i have asked my moh to choose one and also the usher ( who is my oh best lady friend) to choose one each, i dont want to know what they are so that i can hear them for the 1st time on our special day, maybe a little risky but i trust them both to come up with something together that will be special Smiley smile and probably have me bawling lol Smiley smile x

You can do either! I would imagine most people will ask a special someone to do their readings for them but if you can't decide on someone then I'd imagine the registrar would happily do it.

H2B and I struggled to think of someone to do our second reading and figured we'd just ask the minister to do it but then my mum volunteered so that solved that problem!
