ready to give up...invitations

joannexyx, 28 January, 2013 at 22:27 Posted on Planning 0 7

Been looking for invitations for a while now. Im after white pink and a bit of sparkle at a reasonable price. I cant find any! Starting to really get me down. Can anybody recommend a website or someone who makes them.

How elaborate are you looking to go?

i wanted just a kinda shimmery cream card with a blue ribbon and a heart on the ribbon.

i bought it all from hobby craft for about £50 and printed off the insides from the computer and stuck it in :-)

    good luck sweetheart :-)

Could you make your own? I am the least crafty/imaginative/artistic person I know, but couldn't find anything I liked, so made mine. And I love them! I roped in MIL and SILs to help, but most of the work was my own and my own ideas.

I reckon for 80 invites it cost me less than £100 and that was with buying a card edger, trimmer, glues, card, inserts, ink, ribbon, lace and embellishments!

Have you looked at ebay? There are lots of sellers on there that make reasonably priced invitations. A friend of mine used Ebay and her invitations were lovely.

    Don't give up! ?

I did mine probably for about £20! i simply order the actual invitations from vista print as they were free! it was free for 10 so i order 5 seperate desgns all along the same colour scheme and just paid the postage! i mean whos going to show eachother their invites! and i just ordered pearlised paper from ebay and printed the additional information on there and tied with ribbon looked lovely simple and most importantly cheap! lol

I can HIGHLY recomend Natalie from inspiremedesigns.com - she came to my rescue last week after i'd been let down with my invites and was just wonderful. She has amazing designs and will work within your budget too - shes a listed supplier on here too. x

Get yourself onto vistaprint and design your own! You can always add any sparkle or detail on once you've got them.
