Really random question about sixpences. OMs?

*Nursey*, 8 May, 2012 at 18:31 Posted on Planning 0 6

I have been given a sixpence by my MIL2B. She has made me PROMISE (like, literally) to put it in my shoe. Problem is, I have strappy sandals/open toe. How do I keep said sixpence in my shoe?

Help please!

I've had the same problem! Open toed stilettos, not so good for keeping sixpences in! So I'm supergluing mine to the sole of the shoe (not the bit that touches the floor, the diagonal bit if you know what I mean).

I would glue it to the inside where the arch of your foot goes, that way it will be in your shoe but not touching your foot IYSWIM

If I glue it, will I be able to give it back to MIL2B afterwards? I'm only borrowing it ☹️

I lost mine. My shoes weren't even strappy! I forgot all about it and it was gone from my shoe when we got in the car to go from church to venue... My MIL gave me mine too but she's a bit uptight so I thought best not to tell her. As far as she knows its safely tucked away in my memory box..??

Duct tape it to your arch if you don't want to use glue - you can get silver duct tape!

I'm putting a sixpence my late dad gave me in my bouquet - I want to see it as I'm walking up the aisle

Would one of those sticky dot things work but then be able to be removed after so you could give it back?

I sellotaped (well actually I think it was that scotch tape stuff that doesn't go gluey etc.) mine to the inside of my shoe, on the bit under your arch where your foot doesn't really touch - couldn't feel it and it stayed there all day.
