Reccs for somewhere to eat and drink in Bishopsgate?

Katiefar, 9 July, 2009 at 11:01 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

Hi,

I wondered if anyone had any reccs for places to get something to eat and drink in Bishopsgate? Or does anyone know of any coctail bars? I have been out there a few times but, find it really is hit and miss with the places and whether they are nice or not!

it will be a late lunch type thing and we like all types of food.

Thanks a lot

Not sure what your budget is but Cinnamon Kitchen is just off Bishopsgate and has an attached cocktail bar (Anise). https://www.cinnamon-kitchen.com/ There are sometimes offers on it via toptable.com as well. I've only eaten there once, shortly after it opened, but it was very nice.

I've been to a few places in the surrounding area via toptable, would suggest you check it out.

If you don't mind a bit of a walk then The Hoxton Hotel isn't far from Bishopsgate. It would involve walking up past the light bar and turning left onto Great Eastern Street, but the hotel is great and the Hoxton Grille is very good. Nice bar, great layout and not expensive food!

    Thanks for that Peppermint.

Husband and i stayed at The Hoxton last year and it was really nice and we also had lunch there when we arrived - i completly forgot it was there.

I have organised a function at The Pitcher and Piano nearby in Bishopsgate but, fancied going somewhere else first x

Just read back that you are on expenses - go the whole hog and book a table at Vertigo in Tower 42!
