Reception Venue in Essex?

Madonna, 29 September, 2010 at 16:32 Posted on Planning 0 10

I'm an old married having tentative thoughts about an anniversary party next year. We were married abroad, so I have no knowledge at all of venues round here. Family is located in the Romford area - looking for venue with some outdoor space, price at the moment is not decided so all budgets welcome.

I'd love your recommendations please...

Thank you!

Thank you both, that does look gorgeous!

Got any more recommendations more towards the London borders, too?

I got married at Orsett Hall which is lovely (certain staff need a kick up the bum but that's by the by!)

Just trying to think of any others nearer London way. Will be back!

De Rougemont Manor, Great Warley. We got married there in April. Couldn't fault them at all and lovely gardens. They also have a decking area which is lovely to sit out on.

De Rougemount Manor is a good choice - lovely venue.

Also you could consider a couple of minutes from the M11 - Manor of Groves, Blake Hall, Blakes, Down Hall.

Thank you all, I'll look at those.

We got married here too - in July ;-))

Agree, couldn't fault them at all - although was difficult getting guests from the decking area to dance floor as it was the hottest day of the year!!!!

I don't, although Stock is a lovely area - although a bit of a pain to get to without cars? not sure if that matters. As you mentioned close to London borders, and I don't know your budget - a friend got married at gaynes park barnes, which is near epping tube (taxi ride) and absolutely beautiful.
