Recommend a food processor to me

jonicko, 13 December, 2008 at 15:14 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 9

I've got an AWT Breville at the moment without a manual, so don't know how to use half of it and I think that half is missing anyway....

Mum has got a brilliant old Kenwood, that seems to have lasted forever.

As I cook a lot more these days, I want a good one, stainless steel bowl etc. not plastic like AWT.

Any recommendations?

Do you mean a mixer rather than processor?

If you mean mixer then IMO it has to be a kenwood. Mine came with a food processor and liquidiser too so have all three for the worktop space of one. Buy the best you can afford. ?

Do you mean a food processor or a freestanding mixer?

You mention you want one with a stainless steel bowl, which makes me think you're taking about a freestanding mixer - I have a Kenwood Chef and it's fabber than a fab thing. It's got more power than the Kitchenaid, the accessories are brilliant and they last for eleventy million years.

For a food processor - I wouldn't heasitate to buy a kenwood but I think most people would reccommend a magimix which are very expensive. I have a cheapy Bosch that I picked up for about £30 at a supermarket, and it's fab.

Hubby is raising his eyebrows - I shall go shopping on my own tomorrow!

Peaches, funnily enough it was mentioning the British Teas idea to you that got me cooking again all those months ago.

I don't have the titanium (mine is three years old now) one but is exactly the same in every other way. It really is fabulous.

My mum has a plastic on which is nearly 40 years old and is still going strong, it's a lifetime investment and worth every penny IMO.

I'm just gutted silicone k beaters are standard now, I want one. ? Santa might bring one but I'm not holding out too much hope!

Seriously, you'll love it! Just make sure you find the best price as they are being cut left, right and centre.
