Can any camera buffs reccomend me a camera???

I am a bit of a numpty when it comes to cameras and am a bit overwhelmed with the choice out there! My requirements are simple (I think), It needs to be digital, have a wide angle lens (like estate agents use so you can take a pic of a room and get more than 1/2 a wall in it!) and it needs to be simple to use!

Can anyone recommend one or point me in the right direction???

Budget?

I'm a bit of a novice but I don't think standard digital cameras (Point and shoot ones) have wide angle lenses? So you might be looking at a DSLR (£400 upwards plus the cost for a WA lens).

However I could be talking complete shiiiiite?

I have a Nikon D40 which I lurve and it was under £300 on Amazon but you would need to purchase a seperate Wide Angled Lens if you wanted this.

Why not go down to Jessops and have a chat with them - find out what is best for you - then shop around

Thanks ladies, didn't mean to post and run! To be honest I hadn't realised that they would as expensive as that - i was thinking max of £150 as not after high quality just the ability to take that kind of shot - maybe I'll have to give that a rethink.

37mm isn't exactly wide angle, although it's rather wider than 'standard'..... Nice wee camera for the money, I bought a couple of them for Christmas presents.

What's your budget?

I am experience with canon and nikon.
