recommend me a foundation (mineral?)

tea and toast, 3 November, 2008 at 18:16 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 5

I've been using clarins foundation for a few years... also had spots for a few years! Thought it was my cleanser etc so have tried lots of different ones. Now using Liz Earle which is really good. But when I wear foundation I still seem to get spots so I think it may be due to that. I always thought clarins was good for sensitive skin, but now I'm not so sure, their cleanser/toner also irritated my skin. Does anyone have a good foundation that works well for sensitive skin?

Thanks! Edited to add mineral to the title in the hope that someone might give me some ideas about mineral type make up!

I have the new Clinique one, I got colour matched at Boots' Clinique counter, which was free.

Its called Superfit Makeup and it honeslty doesn't feel like I'm wearing it at all.

Its so light and natural looking plus it doesn't fade or cause the nose and forehead to shine (this was a major problem for me before so I ended up giving up on wearing mae up, now I wear it every day).

I don't get bothered with spots nor does it irritate my skin! It costs around £20 a bottle but you only need a small amount of it so its lasted me for ages!

Thanks for those recommendations, really good to hear from people who have used them. I was just googling after I posted and came across bare minerals (I liked it because it said you can sleep in it! haha!). Does anyone have any experience of it? Also, would I have to get the bare minerals one, or would any mineral make up be good?

I just bought Bare Minerals a week ago and I love it. It's the first foundation I've ever worn that doesn't clog my skin and melt off within a few hours. It really stays put and you only need to apply a tiny bit to get good coverage.

I use Bare Escentuals foundation and love it. Esp suitabel for sensitive skin, makes it look luminous.

After reading some reviews online I think it might be a good option for me. Is QVC the cheapest place to get it? And should I get the Bare Escentuals Get Started Kit as a starter to see how I get on?
