Recommend me your mascara?

Mrs_imp, 1 February, 2012 at 09:17 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 22

I need a new mascara and I really don't know which one to try. I've got quite thin lashes, but the thickening mascara looks too clumpy on me. I've recently had the Rimmel one which is supposed to make your lashes grow, which was ok, but not amazing! Can you recommend me yours? I'm going through the duty free in the airport tomorrow so I can afford to spend more this time.

I was given some of this and really don't like it. It's too runny and just makes me look like I'm wearing too much mascara ? Maybe I'm applying it wrong...

My favourite ever one is No 7 Exquisite Curl https://www.boots.com/en/No7-Exquisite-Curl-mascara_1161016/

I used to use Magnascopic by Estee Lauder but it started to clog, a friend recommended Max Factor Masterpeice Max, it's brilliant, in fact the other day my MIL asked me if I had false lashes on! It really does lengthen your lashes!

I use the yellow maybelline one... not the catseyes one, the other one and I cant for the life of me remember what it's called! I have long eyelashes and this mascara is the only one I have found that keeps them curly after I've used the curlers and separates them well.

Just a note if you fancy any of the Benefit mascara's

I was always a Bad Gal addict and heard about They're real. When I spoke to Benefit assistant she asked what I was hoping to achieve and what my eyelashes were like. If you have long eyelashes and hoping to get some volume in them go for Bad Gal. If you have short eyelashes (like me) and want lengthening then you need to be looking at They're Real. Also they came with instructions (which I laughed at) but it works!

Telescopic by L'Oreal, I swear by it, doesn't clump etc. I have the one in the gold tube.

I'm the same with the thickening stuff, it just looks wrong on me. Worst one I ever bought was the False Lash effect one from YSL. Terrible stuff.

Lancome hypnose for day and hypnose drama or doll eyes for evenings.

I tried No 7 adapt mascara when I had a $5 off voucher but my eyes were stinging by the afternoon so had to bin it even though it looked good.

Currently using a max factor one but my favourite is volume express by maybelline. It's a cheap n cheerful one which lengthens and thickens a treat! I also like bad gal if I'm feeling flush and the MBA for my wedding used a givenchy one which was amazing.

Another vote for They're Real here! I haven't actually bought it yet as I have two in my make-up bag to finish first but the woman behind the counter asked me if she could put some on me and I couldn't believe how thick and long they looked!

I have this too... I find it doesn't "dry" though, always feels a bit tacky, looks good though.

    Love the Benefit BadGal Lash!
