Recommend me your mascara please

Naboo, 15 March, 2011 at 16:25 Posted on Planning 0 36

As the title said, I want some mascara for the wedding that will make my short stumpy lashes look massive, thick, long and curly like bambi! Not asking much eh! recommend me your mascaras that might do the trick?

Thanks

    I personally love Lancome VIRTUÔSE.

Its amazing and gives me great length and curl. All of the lancome mascaras are amazing, though this one is my fave xx

I agree with Lancome being the best but I have just gone the whole hog and had eyelashe extensions, they are hooj and it saves me 5 mins getting ready in the morning!

I use MaxFactor Masterpiece on all my brides. The waterproof one is really good as well as it doesn't go clumpy and stays put through the tears.

I have the new No7 one and it's lovely, manages to make my eyelashes look thick and full without being clumped full of mascara. Before that I tried and liked Maybelline Falsies mascara but you have to be careful when applying or it just looks like you're wearing loads of mascara!

Estee Lauder (sp) waterproof or Diior Iconic. The waterproof one is good and doesn't come off (tested at my brothers wedding) unless you use remover. I use L'Oreal's gentle eyemakeup remover or Tescos face wipes and it comes off easy enough. It's also good enough to withstand a shower and hairwash without the panda eyes effect!

Lancome Hypnose.... Have tried No 7, Benefit, Clinique, YSL, Avon......And that was the best. Wore it to my BM's wedding and it didn't smudge or run with wedding tears. My second fave is maybelline lash stiletto.

Lashes are my thing and I have forked out loads over the years trying to find the perfect mascara but without doubt, the best I have found is L'Oreal Telescopic (and it's only a tenner!!!). You need to use it for a week or so before it becomes the right consistency (i.e. thickens up a bit) but it is fabulous after that. I have been asked on numerous occasions if I am wearing fake lashes.

I use whatever I can get cheapest on ebay! Elizabeth arden double density is good, however Dior Show is my absolute favourite.

I recently bought that million volume lashes by L'oreal & im liken the N&P on here for it! Will try it @ wkend Smiley smile

I've used a few different kinds of mascara apart from the Lancome Hypnose.

I use at the minute a Virgin Vie Mascara, i normally hate the ones with the cream end that you use first but my lashes look so long and thicker after. Lots have commented and thought i had had eyelash extensions. Just a pain because i don't have a local virgin vie store no more and have to order on-line so may give the lancome one a whirl.

Good luck in finding your dream mascara hun xx

I've never found one that thickens without having all bits hanging off my lashes. I am something of a perfectionist when it comes to my eyelashes and the tiniest lump I would have to start again.

So this lancome stuff does not cause any clumps? I bought the YSL faux lash mascara once and I was that dismayed by the shitness of it that I felt compelled to write them a letter of complaint. They sent me a replacement which was equally ***!

Hi, just wanted to let you know that i had eye lash extensions and kept having them filled in, 3 months later when i had them removed i could have cried, some were just stubs. I think with this sort of thing you need to have a break. I have tried since some called Blink & Go, they last 2 weeks and then you have them removed and they look great and really natural. I'm thinking of having these done for the wedding and they cost about £30. Sorry to interupt but just wanted to share xx

I use blinc mascara (used to be kiss me - i've been using it a long time!) I've tried loads of others cheap and expensive but I always get panda eyes, don't know why but I don't get it with Blinc.

I'm going to have extensions for the wedding though, my make up lady does them so I'm going to try them out for a friends wedding in May then if I like them I'll have them done again for my wedding!

What about trying to master applying the indivdual lashes yourself? i've used the eyelure ones a few times and found them easy to put in and they came out easily on the night. They thicken and lengthen but look natural too. i will be using these on my wedding day.
