Recommend your photographer!

We just met up with ours for our pre wedding meet (about 2 hours ago!) and we love them, could be worth a look for you?

Cheshire based but they do travel, our wedding is in Lancashire with reception back in Cheshire and they are following us around with no extra cost to the package price

Ours is Maureen du Preez, who is just wonderful (not that I'm biased at all...). Our pre-wedding photos were a joy in spite of the freezing temperatures on the day we did them, and I can't wait to see what she does for our wedding!

We used the amazing Karen & Doug Howell of Howell photography. They live in Cambridge but travelled to London for us.

Ours is 'The Bridal Photographer', we loved his work. Disc only starts from £1550 I think so might be a bit top end of your budget but his photos are sharp, not posed and he's also lovely.

We also looked at Big Eye photography, he was cheaper and lovely too but did slightly less editing than ours and didn't do Queensberry albums (which I've fallen in love with).

As your preferred photographer is unavailable, for very valid reasons, my suggestion (other than also asking here!) would be to ask trusted friends whose photos you like! I know it seems somewhat obvious... Your maximum budget is not unrealistic for what you want, so I am sure that you will be able to find someone o fit the bill!

Recommendation from friends that have already had their wedding photos is always the best way to go, good luck.

We have gone with John at Newton Photography, based in Derbyshire but covers most of the East Midlands. He does several packages but we have gone with the Gold package at £ 950. We met with him and he showed us several portfolios of his work...every photography was amazing and definitely the style we were looking for. Have a look at his website!

We spent days and weeks, met with numerous different photographers and then fell in love with a company called Bloom Wedding, Chris and Anii are the two photographers, and their work is superb. Their pricing is definately within your budget, they are based in Yorkshire, but do quite a few weddings down Notts way, so might be worth a shout.

I am another one who is having Daffodil Waves. I fell in love with her work the moment I saw her signature on here and waited over 6 months to pluck up the courage to email her for a price list! She is based in Birmingham but is travelling to Kent for our wedding, and I am pretty sure she travels all over. Just a shame I still have another 2 years before the wedding....

We,re using Gavin Hardy. We met with about 5 different photographers and fell in love with his photos. He was really lovely when we met up and instantly made me feel at ease as I was really worried about meeting photographers. He's based in Kent, but I think he travels. Not sure how far though, but its always worth asking. He's doing our wedding for £1200 and staying all day.

Another bride to be here who has booked Nicola at Daffodil Waves. Her photos are just stunning. Definitely the best when we were looking at all the photographers out there!
