Recommended dressmakers West MIdlands

Does anyone know of any dressmakers that they or a friend has had experience with that could design a new dress with material from a vintage lace dress? It's my Grandma's wedding dress but I want it remade as it's too big and the shape is not what I wanted. I'm looking for someone good that could design and remodel the dress with additional material added to the lace but I don't want to pick someone without a review as the dress is very old and I don't want it cut up for nothing!
Alternatively, is there anyone who you would definitely NOT take it to based of experience? I'm looking for someone in the west midlands area.

Erica Stacy bridalwear near Salford quays could probably help and it might be worth giving Melanie James (same kind of area) an email - super-helpful, really talented etc. Sure to give you advice even if she can't do it herself.
