Hi

I am having a bit of a block on where to start with our wedding invitations, does anyone have any recommendations for websites to look at?

Massive thanks

:-)

I like card lab, but actually used lily anna rose. The designer Claire is a total legend!

If you plan to do DIY, then I can recommend www.wedloco.co.uk

i watched a demonstration and got a sample at a wedding fair, and they are very quick and simple to do.

And example of my design ... (Excuse the poor lighting / quality photo, doesn't do it justice)

We used Paperchain Wedding Stationery. Really good service and I think the prices were reasonable too.

I heartily recommend Etsy.com, especially if you're looking at small(ish) numbers, like we were. Everyone has commented on our invitations because they are so different! The lady was a pleasure to work with too; proofs, etc. came through really quickly and there was no charge for additional proofs.

Be warned though; a lot of them ship from the US so, whilst the prices- even with shipping- are VERY reasonable compared to the equivalent in the UK, you will probably have to pay around £20 in customs fees / import tax.

Also, don't do what I (almost) did- I was on the verge of ordering 45 invitations as we are having 45 guests.....then realised that I only actually need 23 invitations; couples / families, etc. don't need an invitation PER PERSON (I am an idiot) ? Would have ended up ordering double what we needed and paying for it!

I just couldn't justify the cost of most wedding invitations, as they're basically just going to be thrown away by most people (I'm not ashamed to say I'm one of them).

So, we used the free printables from Wedding Chicks: https://www.weddingchicks.com/15_invitation-suites.html

And then printed them on vistaprint as we got free offer emails. Go to vistaprint, sign up, put something into your basket and leave without checking out. Within 24 hours you will likely get an email with free offers. We only paid for the 1 time upload fee, for linen finish, and delivery. We just wanted flat card invitations, though, so it was fine for us. We printed info sheets at home, which basically directed people to our website for information.

We also used wedding chicks to make a monogram and used that to get fabric bags from vista as well, because you can have up to 5 (i think) free items per order!
