Rectangular Tables/Centrepeices

MrsCoombs2be, 18 February, 2012 at 21:25 Posted on Planning 0 5

Is anyone else having Rectangle tables as opposed to round?

Im struggling to find decent centrepieces that i like, and ones that compliment a rectangle table.

I like the round mirrors with fishbowl type things but think its more suited to a circular table...what do you all think?

Any ideas and flashes very welcome to help me!! :-) xx

We are having rectangle tables but are having less conventionally-shaped centrepieces (wellies and watering cans). However, we did see the venue set up with the same tables for a wedding, with fishbowl centrepieces, it looked very elegant, and not out of place.

Hiya, we're having long tables and having a line of different sized jars with tealights and candles in going down the middle. The picture is kind of the image I have in my head but sure ours wont look as grand lol. xx

Hi there, Were having cube vases on round tables but im sure they would look nice on a rectangle table.

But were having cream roses and gerbras with turquoise ribbon around the vase.

    :-)

You could do a similar thing with square mirrors and cube glass vases which look better visually with rectangular tables. Or, if you go for opaque coloured vases rather than glass, then you wouldn't really need the mirror unless you particularly wanted. Black ceramic vases look stunning with hot pinks/oranges, yellows etc but there are many colours in square cube vases to choose from. Another option is aluminium containers or the new pastel range of aluminium containers such as the jugs etc but you can also get rectangular shaped ones that you can pop herbs into and these are lovely for giving to guests as presents to take home with them.
