My workplace is currently running a voluntary redundancy scheme, which could become compulsory redundancy if not enough people take it up.
I believe I'm at risk of CR if I don't take VR - despite being pregnant - as I currently have no role and my manager is having difficulty in finding me a role for the 3 and a half months I want to remain at work before going on maternity leave.
For some odd reason, HR will not tell anyone how they calculate redundancy payments, so in order to find out if it's worth taking VR I have to apply for it and see what figure they come up with. At that point I have the option of accepting or refusing.
I'd like to calculate the legal minimum amount of redundancy pay I would get if I was made redundant, so that I can compare it to what HR tells me I'd be entitled to if I applied for VR or found myself a victim of CR.
