Refund query

bigpants, 21 April, 2009 at 12:20 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 1

I want to return some PJs I bought a few weeks ago to Mothercare. I have the receipt but I bought them using my old debit card (my old card was cancelled due to suspected fraud). Will they be able to give me a full refund as I don't have the card I paid for them with anymore? What happens with refunds when you're issued a new card?

Do you have a bank statement showing the amount paid on your old debit card? I'd go armed with that, if you do. If you don't though, it shouldn't be a problem, particularly as you have the receipt. Just explain that you've had a new card since you bought them and need the refund going back onto the new card. I've done it a few years ago, and there wasn't a problem.
