We provisionally book ous 2 years in advance, and then went a year in advance to pay the notice fee and set the ball rolling

We get our marriage schedule 8 weeks beforehand, from the local council office for a Church of Ireland wedding.

All areas are sooooo diffrent I would ring your council and check.

Sorry for being a dipstick but why would you need to book a registrar if you are having a Catholic Church wedding? Doesn#%92t the priest perform the ceremony?

Surely the minister is the officiant? Why would you need a registrar there?

In our area, we need a license to marry which we get from the council a couple of months beforehand. The minister performs the ceremony and fills in some kind of form, and then the day after we (or the best man or whoever) take it to the council to get a marriage certificate.
