Removing hard deodorant patches from shirts

Bowski, 15 May, 2008 at 15:27 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 6

Mr B keeps getting these and nothing I do gets rid of them!! It's not one kind of deoderant as he changes which ones he uses all the time.

Any ideas how to shift them before I just cut holes in his armpits and be done with it!

I've been told that white wine vinegar is good to get rid of them! Mr Smith has a few t shirts with dark patches on the armpits, so might be worth a try?

Not been tried and tested by me, though.. but by the token gay guy in the office with a BO problem ?

Apparentlysoaking them in water & soluble aspirin works but I've never got round to trying it myself.. I think my H uses FAR too much deodorant which is why is happens to him and he ruins all his t-shirts

It's only with Shirts that it happens with Mr B. I tried the soluable asprin as a paste as I read somewhere it worked and it didn't.

I read meat tenderiser but have no idea where to buy that!

Liquid soda crystals. Spray it on, give it a little rub, leave for 5-10 mins and stick in normal wash. Works on those horrid yellow underarm stains you get on white tops too.

    Ooooh Great!

Where would I be able to buy them from? Is Tesco likely to sell them?

I think Tesco do. Robert Dyas definitely do and so do Waitrose.

I couldn't get any liquid soda crystals so I just got the powder and made up a strong solution. The shirts aren't dry yet but it feels like its shifted them.

Thanks so much for the tip! ?
