Group shot list, or list of stuff you want the tog to take pictures of?

Below is what my group shot list usually looks like.

    1) B&G Brides family, Parents, Grandparents, Siblings
    2) B&G Brides parents
    3) B&G Brides parents + Grooms Parents
    4) B&G Grooms Parents
    5) B&G Grooms family, Parents, Grandparents, Siblings
    6)Bride and Bridesmaids
    7)Bride and girlfriends
    8)Groom and Groomsmen
    9)Groom and Guy friends

As to a list of pictures you want a tog to take. Some togs may be ok with this, others won't as it's just not how they work (documentary style).

Tbh, if you have hired a competant tog, only unusual things that the tog wouldn't otherwise know to photograph should be included imo.

Here is a pretty comprehensive list of the 'formals' but bear in mind if you have all of these, you're looking at 30-45 mins of group photography!

    Bride, close up

    Bride, full length

    Bride & Bridesmaids

    Bride & Dad

    Groom

    Groom & Best Man

    Best Man

    Signing the register

Bride and Groom walking up the aisle

    Bride & Groom close up

    Bride & Groom full length

    Confetti shot.

    Everyone*

    Bride & Groom (Various shots)

Bride, Groom, Parents, Best Man, Bridesmaids, Ushers (The Bridal party)

Bride, Groom, Bride’s parents, brothers, sisters, their partners and children

Bride, Groom, Groom’s parents, brothers, sisters, their partners and children

Bride & Groom, mock cutting of the cake

I've written down a lot of photos I'd like! From formal to 'one time or we'll miss it' photos. It's just so when I meet my tog we can discuss the sorts of things I'd like.

For example, I'd like pictures of our outfits before we wear them, the bouquets, rings and cake. The front of the hotel we're getting ready in (without us in it). The bus with the guests coming into the car park, the train coming in to the station, etc etc.

If there are any photos you can only take the once then I think it is worth mentioning to your tog. One hitcher on here didn't have a photo of her father walking her down the aisle or the bride and grooms first kiss!! She just assumed the tog would know that she wanted these.
