Revision Techniques or kick needed

Koshka, 16 June, 2008 at 22:17 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0

I have an English exam next week and despite having got a first class pass in the mock a couple of weeks ago.

I really should start to revise for it- I haven't practised since then.

I need to practise/revise/know the layout for a letter, a report, a memo, an article and a report.

Should I just write them out and stick them everywhere I go in the house? (this is what I did for my GCSE exams)

Someone please give me some kicks up the arse to start revision.

Or share with me your revision techniques please. Its been a while since I last revised I think I've forgot how to

I would say that it's really only you that will know how you revise best. My long term memory is rubbish, so when I'm studying I make lots of notes and then cram in the week or two before the exam.

I am studying for a professional accountancy qualification, but how about doing diagrams/flow charts/revision cards/mnemonics to remember what you need to remember? My photographic memory isn't the best, but I do memorize these sort of things than just pages and pages of waffle..!

Good luck with the exam next week! If you got a first class pass in the mock, then just do what you were doing before that... You'll be great!
