Ring as a gift

SunnyOrangeBridesmaid97859, 14 December, 2017 at 12:32 Posted on Planning 0 2

Dear ladies,

I have a question that I have not found an answer to. If your man gives you a ring that does not fit, who should deal with adjustment of the ring size? You or him? The ring is just a birthday gift, not an engagement ring. Thanks a lot!

    ... you.

If someone gave you a jumper that was the wrong size, you wouldn't give it back to them to take to the shop to sort out would you, you would go in and exchange it yourself.

There is a difference between a jumper and a ring. The ring needs to be adjusted for a price of almost 90 pounds. So, how ok is it to give a gift and mean "I've paid for the ring and you have to pay yourself for it to be adjusted to a correct size"?

If you are on here I am assuming you are already engaged? Did he get your engagememt ring in the right size? Why didn't he just go for the same size again?
