RKB is in complete Denial.......

1234ABC, 30 November, 2011 at 16:52 Posted on Planning 0 3

That tomorrow is December, and she only has 2 weeks to go!!!!

OM's - did you feel like you still had loads to do, even though there wasn't much left to get done?

My To Do List Consists of:

- Pay final payments on:
Bus, Venue and Photographer

Get confirmation from Registrar about order of service and then type up order of service and give to MIL2B to roll up and tie with ribbon

Get guest names to my mum so she can add their names to the place settings

Sort out what i'm going to do about favours for day guests as i have sort of over looked this.....

Finish buying gifts for groomsmen, friends who are doing readings/ have been a HUGE help in the planning process, OH's uncle who is doing the ceremony music

Find some form of stand to attache table names to

Find some gifts that i've managed to lose in the process of moving house!

Get Engagement Ring Cleaned! / Get all other rings insured.

I still get the feeling i've forgotten something.

What have other Decemember brides still to do/ can anyone think of anything that i might have forgotten?

What about any beauty treatments? Also try and have a day where you can just chill! It's so exciting that it's so close :-)

I share your December excitement RKB. I agree that there suddenly seems to be (feels like) lots that needs to be done, although in reality they are all quite easy to tick off. Definitely book some time in for you, me and one of my bridesmaids are booked in for a pamper afternoon the day before the wedding to relax. God luck and I'm sure your day will be perfect whatever happens

    Hey RKB,

    An old married here ?.

My stress kicked in two weeks before my big day and even though my list was not too much it still felt I had a million and one things left to do. The way I dealt with it was to type up a to do list planner on a day to day basis where I completed my tasks. It also had the added bonus that the more I ticked off the better I felt ?.

I know its hard but try to take a deep breath as the eve of my wedding was a horrible day for me as my stress levels were way up there and looking back I wish I had of stayed calm and enjoyed my pamper day.

Needless to say the wedding day was perfect for me and when I woke up that morning it was with the attitude that Oh well if its not done or I have forgotten to do it, its too late to fix now anyway x

    Good Luck x

Same here, RKB! Can't believe tomorrow we can say "I'm getting married this month!".

It's a bit panic stations for me at the moment as with 24 days to go a third mess up happened with the venue - at least they were quick to get us in for a meeting and they sort of made it up to us but no amount of refund or freebies are gonna make up for the fact that we no longer have exclusive use of the venue etc...But at the end of the day, we are there to get married and that's all that counts.

    I still have to:

    - put together a list with music for the reception

    - give marriage notice (AGAIN!!! For the 3rd time) - due to venue mess-up and 2 changes of licensed room

    - Pick up my dress (been today for fitting and although I am not 100% happy with the fit no thing can be done...there's only so much you can do with the patterns and my body lol)

    - boys to go for final suit fitting and pick up suits

    - need to take candelabra and cones (to frost) to florist, as well as the faux fur muffs for corsages

    - take frosted cones to cake maker for deco

    - give Videographer the music for the DVD (need to burn a CD)

    - little get together for BMs and Groomsmen to meet my Mum for the first time;

    - finish my speech off

    - Pick Mum up from airport when she arrives, exactly two weeks today.

    - pay balance to photographer and videographer, DJ and Florist

    - Find gifts for Best Man,Usher and FOG (BM, MOB and MOG pressies bought).

    - Still dithering between 2 songs for first dance!!!

    - Give venue final numbers, names and menu choices

    - Attend my Hen Do this Saturday - it's a surprise!

I am sure there's lots more...I feel like I am running out of time!
