Rosamund Pike's Dress at the Golden Globes

I don't know if anyone else has seen any pics from the Golden Globes (or even cares!) but the general consensus from the media is that Rosamund Pike's dress looked amazing. While I don't disagree she looks amazing (especially for someone who gave birth last month!) I don't feel like the dress does anything for her. Anyone else? Or am I missing something?

PS. I didn't start this thread for the opportunity to slag her off, as I've said above she does look lovely I just feel like I must be missing something on the dress front!

I don't know who she is but I agree, I like it from the front but don't think the back suits her at all.

She is very pretty and has an amazing figure. The dress is awful.

I think it looks alright from the side, but the front and back aren't the most flattering.

She looks flippin amazing though if she gave birth last month!

Fashion bemuses me at the best of times! It doesn't do her any favours so no, I don't get it either!

I hate it. Think it makes her boobs look proper saggy and doesn't do much for her waist.

But I think she has a cracking figure!

I agree with this entirely. I think on a very skinny waif it would look brilliant.

I'm just baffled as to why she's on the 'best dressed' list everywhere.

I agree with this entirely. I think on someone curvier it would look better because she looks like she hasn't got much of a waist. I'm thinking someone like Jennifer Lawrence or Rita Ora

I'm not sure who she is but agree, it's a bit of an odd dress...I do really like the floaty bottom half but waist up isnt very flattering, maybe it's that thing of when a famous person wears something a bit brave/unusual it's automatically thought of as cool? It can't be comfortable either, high alert constantly to make sure the boobs haven't escaped, walking around gingerly in case bending down snapped one of the back straps! Ish!

I'm not keen either. Makes her look a bit like she has back fat, which I don't think she actually has. And agree that it's just not flattering for her shape.

If I had a figure as good as hers I think I would be able to dress it far better!

I would have to agree with the majority of you. She has a great figure and is very attractive but the dress does her no favours and is quite cheap looking unfortunately
