Hi everyone!

Posted our invites on Thursday night first class. Only one person has received theirs, theirs was sent in a jiffy bag we already had stamped up though.

My dad mentioned the weekend we hadn't put enough stamps on each envelope, how embarrassing ☹️

Looks as though everyone else is going to get card pushed through to pay the difference. We will of course pay everyone back for the postage, I was just wondering if anyone knew roughly how long it takes for the RM to send these cards out to people?

Hoping that this is the case and not that they've all gone missing!

Oh dear! It'll be a pound plus the postage difference. Shouldn't take much longer than normal post, but don't forget the bank holiday means that today is only the third day. You never know, it might be OK!

They charge a £1 admin & then the difference in the postage

My friend lives abroad and last easter she sent us all an easter card with a treat inside. As she didn't pay enough postage it cost me £1.11 to collect a squashed creme egg! Lol.

I would forewarn all your guests as some people will probably assume the letter to be junk and just not bother to collect it.

Yep, this happened with our STDs. Some people didn't bother going to collect them because they didn't know what it was. Lesson learned!

Unfortunately, anything that has any type of embellishment on the front of the card and won't fit through the 'slot' dictated by the PO requires a large letter stamp even if it weighs less than first class would normally. I would definitely forewarn people so they know not to ignore it.

Thanks everyone for coming back to me!

I was tweeting RM last night, hopefully the notification cards will arrive by the end of this week. Just need to wait patiently for someone to let me know they've had one!

I've put it on FB and text relatives who aren't on FB so fingers crossed everyone will go and collect it. Actually realised last night we only posted 8 invitations in the end (we hand delivered the rest) so if the worst does happen and they are lost (unlikely all are lost as we have deliveries in East Sussex, Leicestershire, Worcestershire etc so not all the same area) we would only have to replace 8 of them.

Will keep you updated Smiley smile
