Hi,

I have put an RSVP date (which is in 3 days time) on my day invites but have so far not received many replys. Would you

start to call people to to check they are coming? thanks

Our rsvp date was 1st March. We left it one extra week to cover "stuck in the post" and other lateness excuses, and started chasing up this weekend. Most were by email with a couple of phone calls left to do in the next few days.

I'd leave it till after your date, to be honest, as many will leave it till the last minute.

When is your wedding date, and when do the hotel need to know final numbers? That may change any of the above advice Smiley smile

Personally (and sorry if this offends anyone, just my opinion!) I would consider it rude to start chasing people before the stated deadline. You've given them a date... you don't know yet whether or not they will reply in time.

After the deadline, chase away Smiley laugh Our deadline has passed and we're still waiting... think it's a common experience. My MIL2B has a list of people on H2B's side, and she is going to chase them for me. Most of my lot have replied, with the exception of the ones in Malaysia (which is understandable) and one family who are in India at the moment, so I'll give them a little more time.

When did you send them out? And when is the wedding? If you sent them out at the beginnnig of January the I guess you could start chasing a week after the deadline. If you only sent them out a week ago I'd wait till the end of the month. And it depends on when you have to confrim numbers etc.

Deadlines are often interpreted very loosely!

I think you'd be perfectly entitled to start chasing as soon as the deadline has passed, but not before.
