RSVP etiquette

SPLODGIE, 15 February, 2009 at 17:51 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi

We have received an invitation to an evening do which includes a preprinted RSVP page. Should I pop this in a card or just fill in and return. RSVP are to brides parents whom we do know but not very well at all.

Thanks

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you just fill it in and return! ?

I think its personal choice really but if you've been sent a RSVP then save your pennies and don't go and buy another one!

We sent out ready printed RSVP postcards with our address and a stamp on one side, and the RSVP details on the other side, intended for people to just fill them in and pop them back in the post.

We also sent out pre-printed RSVP slips with the intention that people would just be able to complete their details (cross any names off that couldn't attend and cross out either can or can't come) and pop in an envelope to return.

Some people have sent them back as is, others have put them in with a card. We just wanted to make it as easy as possible for people to RSVP and so didn't mind either way.

Sorry to be OT but had our last RSVP back today and everyone can come!! Bar my cousin and his girlfriend who emailed me a few weeks ago to ask if he could book their last minute wedding exactly one week before ours (told him that I DID mind and not heard anything since!!).
