Hmmm not sure this is normal seeing as there is only 3 weeks left, i think i would also be a little concerned - and miffed for that matter! we have had 7 replies with only 1 being 'with regret' our deadline is 19th June x

When we first sent ours out we got quite a few replies in the first week or two, it tailed off after that and some didn't reply at all. In fact I'm still chasing evening guests and the reply date for them was 28th February.

Its really shocked me how ignorant and rude some people can be when it comes to this. I've totally had my eyes open.

Give them until the date they are due to RSVP by then get in touch with the all.

We had most of our guest's replied by the RSVP date, but I did send a chaser email 2 weeks after sending the invite. I personally think it is rude not to reply to an invite, for the people who did not reply I sent an email saking them to give me an answer in 2 days time....got an answer (VERY RUDE in my opinion) so sent an email saying that as they have not confirmed we will have to assume that they are not coming. I think that people get the invite and forget to reply or mean to reply.

    AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

dont get me started on this one!!

had 25 replies from 90 invites. Most of those were from my mates trying to out do each others rsvp (turned into a competition)

I didnt expect my mum to reply "well, you know I'm coming, so why bother!" grrrr!!! My cousins havent even said no to me - they told my aunt, in the hope it gets passed on (all 5 couples!!)

    Its so rude. xx

Steel you have to chase people up - I put my mum in charge of my side of the family and OH's sister was chasing his - then I just emails/called all the rest. we also had an email address to REVP so that worked quite well. We've got our final numbers now - 64 (target was 70) so we didn't do too badly.

From speaking to friends who've been through it i think the "well you know i'm coming" scenario is really common - people think they don't need to bother rsvp-ing when they're close friends/family.

i think the following up with a text/email to the stragglers just before the RSVP date is easier as at least it doesn't cost you anything (but is still annoying having to chase up) xx

We've had an identical situation only with us it was someone a lot closer to home than a cousin. To not even have the courtesy to tell the couple yourself is just pathetic and I am so angry ?

    And breathe.....

I would say with 3 weeks still to go, you're fine. I think if there are still loads outstanding 1 week before that's when I'd get more concerned (although may be going against the grain a bit there!)

I was a bit worried about this though so that's why I gave quite an early RSVP date to give me enough time for any stragglers and to do the table plan!

Hi There, we used fairytaleweddingcompany.co.uk and used their wedding website RSVP and MENU facility, the good thing with this is you email your guests the invitations and your guests can logon to your website and accept your invite and also update the menu options that you provide. the website you get are great and beautiful as well. it also does lots of other things as well, like table planning, guest management, itinerary, local ammenities etc.

    hope this helps

    james
