I put RSVP cards in, but it's a personal choice really

I will probably be including cards - more to try & get people to respond quickly!

However, I received an invitation to a friends wedding only a few days ago that didn't. To be honest, I didn't think much of it! I think it's really personal choice!

There are some great invite designs that incorporate a RSVP card into them though?

As snowbunny said, it's a personal choice really. I have loads of invitations where I have needed to get an acceptance card myself and some where the cards have been included.

I am putting cards in with mine just to encourage people to reply quicker and just to let some people know that they actually need to reply

However, some people like to let their guests choose cards to send back as they can be more personal and can often write nice messages too. Up to you really.

I didn't because

a) I didn't want the additional expense and time.

b) It's been quite nice to receive all the different cards and letters from my guests and to have them as keepsakes, rather than having a mantlepiece of identical cards.

We included cards with our as we had questions for everone (do they want to get on the coach from the reception, child meal options etc) so it was easier to be sure they would answer those.

To be honest its worked billiantly (so far... ) as we only send them last week and we have had about 30 reponses already!

A few people have got their own cards too and put our responses inside those, other have written a message on the back of the one we included...

Pffffft, they can buy their own.

I'm posting mine this weekend, well least the ones that I have addresses for. OH is a bit crap at chasing up his friends at the mo!

We posted ours this time last week and included rsvp cards, and stamped addressed envelopes. we have had half of them back already........

I didnt include R.S.V.P cards, I made my own invites with hand made menu cards, R.S.V.P menu cards ( so people just had to tick what they wanted and send them with the R.S.V.P), local hotel info and a poem about wedding gifts, it took me so long to make all those and I had to make 20 day invites and 20 evening invites. I thought about it but decided against it, as it was another expense and took alot of my time, I am really looking forward to recieving all the different R.S.V.P cards and will keep hold of them to put in my wedding box.

Its worked for us! We only started getting them back on Saturday but have got between 6-12 each day since! will have them all back by next week at this rate!
