RSVP's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Emily-Toni, 18 January, 2013 at 20:57 Posted on Planning 0 5

I apologise in advance for this rant! And if it doesn’t make sense.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Sometimes I wonder why I even bothered to invite people to our wedding!

Why do people think that it’s ok to not respond to your wedding with the RSVP and printed envelope provided!

Why can they not respond by the RSVP date!

Why do they think that when you just texting them to say happy xmas that reply of “yer you to, oh we can come to your wedding” is an RSVP it’s not!!!!!!!!

People who just point blank and rudely ignore the RSVP and leave you calling, texting, e-mailing, calling again again and again to find out if they will be attending your wedding to say YES and then 2 weeks before your wedding and your just talking in conversation to their partner find out that acherly they might not becoming because work wont let them take the time off!!!!!!! Yes I would love you there but if you cant thats ok just LET ME KNOW BEFORE I PAY £135 FOR YOU TO BE AT MY WEDDING AND NOW DONT KNOW IF YOUR GOING TO ATTEND! BUT INSTEAD OF SAYING WORKS BEING AWKWARD SO I WILL SAY NO TO YOUR ALL DAY INVITE BUT COULD I COME TO THE EVENING WHEN I FINISH? Of course you can BUT BLOODY WELL TELL ME DONT LEAVE ME IN THE DARK!!!!

People who received an invite, say they can’t come because they don’t drive and can’t get there but if they could they would be there. So I bend over backwards trying to find another space and working to earn the extra money to pay for an extra person to come that does drive and can take them, for them to then turn round and say they still arnt coming!

GRRRRRRRRRR!

?

Thank you for reading I feel much better!

Shame this rant wont sort my problems out though!

Some people can be so blimmin rude! That sort of thing really gets on my nerves.

I feel your pain in a slightly related way - we sent out save the dates 15 months before our wedding because it is during August and wanted to ensure people didn't go on holiday etc. Well guess what - some of our guests have just told us that they have accidentally booked holidays which clash with our wedding and now can't come. Very peed off to say the least!!

Feel your pain! We sent save the dates last Feb and in June one of OH's uncles said he may have just booked a cruise in Feb because he didnt know our wedding date! I said did you not recieved the save the date card he said oh yes I forgot about that! He then wouldn't tell us the date of the cruise and instead made us send and invite...naturally his RSVP arrived late!

This is what I'm not looking forward to. I've got to included menus in mine as well because I'm giving them a choice of meals!!! I think I'm going to put envelopes in WITH stamps on it and my parents address so they have everything they need they just need to put yes/no and food choices. Still think I'm going to be running around after people though!!
