Running stuff .. sorry

Chicken, 12 April, 2008 at 16:50 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 15

If I'm banging on.

Have I missed anything?

Shoes, socks, underwear, short sleeved and long sleeved top, leggings, jumper.

Vaseline, wet wipes, deodrant, anti-chafing stuff, ibupofen gel, bin liners.

Carb gel x 4, sports beans, sports bar, lucozade, banana x 2.

Arm wallet, watch, ipod holder, ipod, mobile, £20, oyster card.

Race no, safety pins, time chip, train times, map.

Any ideas?

What's Carb gel? It sounds grim if it's something you eat.

If you were a woman I'd check it's not likely to be the time of the month, because that could be embarrassing, but obviously that DOESN'T apply to you.

A pair of flip flops or uber comfy old trainers (not the ones you're running in)

I'm also taking a sandwich to munch straight after as I know I won't eat real food and last year I didn't eat for hours after and then was hungry for a week

Its going to be soooooo much fun tomorrow. Good luck

And make sure you've written your name in big letters on the front of your top.

    Red shoelaces in?

Pin your number now, in case you lose your pins.

    Bog roll?

Leave any sense of shame at home, you probably will piss in a bush at Greenwich park.

Check your pen number (stamped on your running number) and plan to get into a different one (or is that just me!)

Bottle of drink for the train and something to eat, it's a long wait around.

Something to sit on if its raining

dry pants (an absolute essential) Recovery is always faster if you're wearing dry pants.

Have you attached the chip to your trainers?

    Set two alarms

    I'll keep thinking....?

Think it's pretty comprehensive otherwise - good luck for tomorrow! Run well and no kicking ?
