Really? Apologies there then, I thought on forums such as this people were OK to express whatever opinions they felt were valid, freedom of speech and such like. I thought forum rules were more to do with not crossing lines of racism or any other isms, or legal issues. Obviously whatever happened mods felt was along those lines so all due respect to whatever decision they came to.

Anyway mine's a Baileys on ice - it is Christmas season after all, and I am celebrating my healthy result!

Cookiekat - hugs to you! It's a weird, horrible feeling isn't it?

I draw comfort though from my Great-Aunt who found out she had breast cancer and decided she wasn't going to have any treatment and actually lived just fine for 24 years with it!! Granted towards the end she was in a lot of pain but she was in her 80s and had had a good life so it doesn't mean thats it if we do find out we have it.

I know it still isn't easy and every time I feel my boobs get lumpy around TOM I worry and panic but I guess at least we can prepare somewhat by eating well and getting as healthy possible.

    xxxxx

I have been offered a double mastectomy and reconstruction at the age of 40 as a preventative measure. I've just turned 30 so awhile to wait and think about things.

I'm nearly 40 and have discussed the same with the Doc but I don't feel ready to do that. It seems so drastic and I know it would save my life but I just can't face that yet.
