Sausage recipe please

RubyBlue, 22 February, 2009 at 20:25 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

I have some sausages in for dinner tomorrow and I'd like to do something other than my usual onion gravy and mash.

I have some sweet pototoes which I'd like to bake (incidentally - how long does this take?) and I have some cannelini beans which I could use.

Thanks ?

Sweet pots are much nicer baked in their skins or roasted than steamed or boiled or cooked in casserole. How about roasting the sausages and having sweet pot wedges and some kind of tomato relishy thing? And then something green like PSB?

Hmm, thanks all - some great ideas. I was intending to do the sweet pots as jackets, so I think I may do a casserole type thing with the sausages and serve broccoli and the jackets on the side. Sound ok? (and will they take a similar amount of time as normal pots to bake?)

PS: Soph, what is psb? <brain has exited through left ear icon>

I do a sausage casserole based on a WW recipe that is really nice. Can't remember amounts though!

    Button mushrooms (200g?)

2 peppers (I use any colour, I think was red in original)

    8 sausages

    tin toms

    stock

    mustard (tablespoon?)

    small pot low fat yog.

Cut the sausages into 4 or 5 bits each and fry in spray oil till cooked. Add rest of ingredients except yog, cook for 20 mins, stir yog in just before serving.
