Save the Date cards

gerbera14, 24 May, 2008 at 18:49 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hello all,

We have finally set a date for our wedding (hooray!) so I am planning on sending out some save the date cards in the near future. I would quite like to make my own, so I just wondering if anyone had any recommendations of where to start with them! I know some people have used websites to help to create them, so if anyone could point me in the right direction I would be grateful, thanks!

Ours were really simple, just printed on photo paper, but looked really effective IRL

I made mine and it was sooo easy. I used www.madaboutcards.com for my supplies.

Square of ivory card, layered with square of silver vellum (see through stuff) then the printed white paper with the details on it. Finished off with silver peel off stickers of Save the Date and the top and linked wedding rings at the bottom.

Design was then easy to replicate including paper red roses and paper printed with wedding on it layered below the vellum for the invites and other stationery.
