Maybe a little too early. We're getting married on May 3rd and I posted mine yesterday, if you send them out to early people may forget!

Definitely not. I sent our STDs a year in advance.

I will add though that our STDs were magnets so they just got stuck on people's fridges and didn't get lost

I think this is fine, we haven't had time to do Save the Dates so we're sending out invites now for our April-14 wedding (at least we're meant to be... if we pull our fingers out... )

I think that sounds fine, we sent ours out about a year in advance ;-)

I always suggest sending them out around a year in advance. No such thing as too much notice Smiley winking

    Hi Sarah!!

I'm also getting married 4th October and I've just finished making mine today. I have my nephew christening kin 2 weeks so a lot of my family will be there so will be giving them out then (save on postage - every little helps) and then post the rest at the same time - it will be just over 10 months. The majority of out guests will have to travel and book accommodation so I wanted to make sure that they had plenty of notice

i think 11-12 months is pretty much exactly right! We are getting married on 20th September 14 and posted ours just over a week ago. We included stickers in ours which people can put on their 2014 diaries/calendars as they get them over the coming weeks!

Sounds like a marvellous idea to me, might as well save on the postage if you can. ? most people will be getting their diaries for next year around now anyway so i can't see that many people will "forget" about it because it's too early.

We are getting married in Lapland January 2015 and sent our save the dates out in June this year, a tad early maybe however we are all stopping in the catered chalets so we need deposits off everyone and to book the "holiday" in December when the brochure comes out. Luckily all our guests are getting excited about the holiday

We get married the week after and I've started giving mine out now when I see people. Like a poster above, we have STD fridge magnets x
