Save the date - who should they be sent too?

juddtobe, 22 October, 2009 at 21:15 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi everyone

Just after a bit of advice please? My fiance and I are wanting to send out save the dates and we weren't sure who we should send them to - day guests, evening guests.....or both? Any input you could give would be great!! Also, will people reply to save the dates?

Thanks!!!!

Normally just the day guests but if you have evening guests who have to travel a fair distance / will want to stay nearby I'd consider including them.

    Hi Juddtobe,

I'm sending them to my family and close friends who are coming all the way to Suffolk from northeast Scotland. Wanted to give them enough time to find somewhere in deepest darkest suffolk ? to stay! We're getting married in September 2010.

The evening guests are all locals so no need to send them one really!

We are doing for both but the evening ones are only for the people we def want there and as were getting married on new years eve we thought if we really want certain people there in the evening then we should tell them, although i have made them myself and have put save the evening on it instead of save the date so we dont get 60 people turning up to the day thinking we meant save the day lol if that makes sense xx
