Save the Dates

sharnem, 14 July, 2013 at 20:48 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hi everyone ?

we wasn't originally going to do save the dates however we changed our mind and we ordered them last Wednesday and received them yesterday. Im so excited because they are the first physical thing i can see going towards our wedding Smiley smile They are magnetic business cards and the first one is on my fridge Smiley smile my OH even waited for me to come home so we could open them together bless him.

However, just wondering if there was any etiquette to sending them out? i was just going to put them in envelopes with addresses but hand them out to people and send the ones who live to far away? also does it matter if not everyone gets them at the same time?

Thanks in advance

I gave them to people I was able to see in person and posted them to others. They've gone out in dribs and drabs, starting in May, think we still have a few on the desk which OH keeps saying he will give to people but hasn't yet! I'm sure most people are far more organised than us but the way I see it our wedding is ages away, this is just a little reminder not the official invitation so I'm not going to worry myself about it.

There is no etiquette with sending Save the Date's and can be handed out however you wish. They are just to pre- warn your guests to be that you have booked your wedding and to give them plenty of notice in case they need to book time off work etc.

The invitations themselves are the important ones as these will contain all of your wedding details and your RSVP's.

    Happy Wedding planning! ?
