Save the dates

LoveBug1950, 10 May, 2014 at 00:52 Posted on Planning 0

I'm a bit stuck for what information to include on the save the dates. Should I include the venue on them and should I have something about children only being invited to attend the evening part, giving them a year to make arrangements.

Sorry I always ask the most stupid questions!

Most save the dates I've seen have been really simple - Just 'We are getting married on........ More details to follow with invitations'

If you have anything that may prove complicated for people you have a choice, either to let them know in the save the date, or to make sure you get your full invitations out in plenty of time so that people still have plenty of time to make their arrangements.

When we sent ours out we hadn't actually firmed up our venue, but we knew it would be near to my parents and so all of OH's family (and some of our friends) would have to travel. We put on ours 'Our wedding will be held on 30th August 2014, near *town*, we will provide full details of times and venue when our invitations follow, in the mean-time we hope you will save the date. If you need any more information to help you make arrangements feel free to contact us.'
