Save The Dates - Advice please xx

Holly-Jayne, 13 March, 2011 at 17:37 Posted on Planning 0 23

Hiya,

As we are getting married on August bank holiday I think it would be wise for us to get save the dates in case of family holidays etc.

My questions are - can anyone advise where to get them or have you done your own? if possible could people flash them pretty please!

I don't want to spending hardly anything on them money wise unless it was something that people might keep i.e magnets but only if they don't cost the earth.

Last question - when would you send them out for August 2012 wedding?

Sorry for the 20 questions hope someone can help xx

We have designed our own. We have bought magnetic paper from Ebay and printed them on to that.

A much cheaper way of making fridge magnets, , , ,

What a great idea - thank you! Have you ladies got any pics?

Also regarding the magnetic paper is fairly sturdy as a magnet or is it still paper like if that makes sense! x

    Hi

I normally advise sending save the date cards out a year in advance.

We got ours from Vistaprint too but did them on a special offer (sign up and wait for the offers to come through) so they were £15 for 50 including postage and the upload fee.

We were going to send them out 18 months in advance, but changed the date to bring it closer so they ended up going out 6-7 months in advance.

This is what they looked like, but ignore the massive border... that was just so I could position them right on Vistaprint! I nicked the design off loveandlavender.com and then played around with it.

Hi Holly-Jayne... not sure if this link will work for you or whether it's because Vistaprint recognises me, but try it:

    http://www.vistaprint.co.uk/custom-magnets.aspx?xnav=LeftItem&xnid=PromotionAndEvents_Magnets&dng=1141733&rd=2#here

That gets me 50 magnets for under £10 inc. postage!
